Confident Hair
Confident Hair is a home-based salon, servicing clients from Brisbane, Logan, and the Gold Coast with a conveniently based hair salon in Underwood, Logan. Kyah Digital undertook a website refresh for this local business, including migrating the site from Wordpress to Squarespace, and giving the brand look and feel a “new hair, don’t care” vibe.

Project Brief
This project included migrating the existing website from WordPress to Squarespace and giving the site look and feel a fresh new vibe. The owner of Confident Hair, Tina, had recently switched to a new haircare product provider, and she had updated her salon with all new marketing materials provided by the supplier. She wanted her website to match this same energy, colour palette, and that “new hair, don’t care” vibe.
Before
The Confident Hair website was initially built in WordPress, a platform that the owner was not familiar with, and as a result, her site was often out of date in terms of opening hours, pricing, and fresh imagery. The design was plain and simple - which was fine when the business was launched - but the brand had outgrown it and needed a website that matched it’s look and feel now.
After
Tina asked me to migrate her website to Squarespace, and at the same time give it a design refresh. We removed the tan gold colour from her branding as she never liked the colour, and introduced a pale pink and blue that really stand out against the other brand colours of black and white. We also refreshed the site imagery, added content about the new haircare products in stock, and ensured all of the site information - opening hours, pricing, and services - were up to date. This little glow up gave the Confident Hair website a much needed breath of fresh air, and it now feels energetic, full of life, and fun. Just like it’s owner, Tina.
